NEW USER REGISTRATION

Registration is required if you wish to participate in SeaMarket auctions as a buyer or a seller. After you complete this form and submit your details, you will receive an email notifying you that your registration details have been received. Registration is complete when your membership is activated by SeaMarket admistration. If you are applying for Seller Status, you will receive a separate approval email. Allow up to 24 hours for all approvals.

To register as a buyer only you can choose Business registration if you operate a business in the seafood industry or administer a larger buying group. If you run a small trading business, administer a small buying group or provide services to the seafood industry (eg. as a consultant) select Individual.

In most cases when we suspect foul play we will suspend your account/listing whilst we investigate further. If our investigation is conclusive then your account with us will be terminated. Your Conduct: You are solely responsible for the results of your actions through use of this web-site. You must ensure that your participation in the selling or buying of items does not violate any applicable laws or regulations. By this we mean that you must check that you entitled to sell or buy the relevant item and that you are not prohibited from doing so by any law or regulation. You must not transmit through the service any unlawful, harassing, libelous, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene or otherwise objectionable material. Instead what we do is provide a website that enables sellers to list products for sale using a number of methods (Auction, Buy-out, Make an Offer etc) and deal directly with buyers for those products. Sellers negotiate directly with their buyers. SeaMarket charges for website usage. We do not conduct auctions but provide software that enables products to be sold in a bidding format. SeaMarket is not involved in the actual transaction between buyers and sellers. We have no control over the quality, safety or legality of the items listed the truth or accuracy of the listings, the ability of sellers to sell items or the ability of buyers to buy items. We cannot and do not control whether or not sellers will complete the sale of items they offer or buyers will complete the purchases of items they have bid on. In addition, note that there are risks of dealing with foreign nationals, underage persons or people acting under false pretence. SeaMarket shall not be responsible for any items sold and purchased via this web-site whether by auction or any other method including, without limiting the generality of this condition, any damage to items during transit or during the inspection period or misrepresentations and/or breaches of contract by either buyer and/or seller. SeaMarket shall not be responsible for the cost of procurement of substitute goods or any losses resulting form any goods purchased or obtained. SeaMarket assumes no liability for the content of listings on this web-site, however if you fall victim of a fraudulent transaction we will assist you as much as we can. Laws: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia and any applicable Queensland state laws and any disputes will be decided only by the courts of Australia.
